Other than a bench.
(Be honest ) on paper target only.
Closest measurement from point of aim to point of impact wins

Any way you want to get er done cowboy!! I'm out for a couple weeks, and will be all over it when I get back. Going to have to change rifles as my 223 doesn't have a hold on target for 500yds.

Yup sure , I only said paper so it would be finer measurement but I don't see a problem with it go right ahead

I'm in, but probably not till March. I'm in the middle of load development for all of my shooters. Just for fun(name of the game, right) I will attempt Jan challenge, and if too late for Feb challenge score shot, just the shot, as well. Fun!! I'm thinking my 33xc for jan! 18 lbs , off hand... What could possibly go wrong?

I plan on shooting off tripod , the only reason I said no bench is to make it a little harder and something different.

I can make something work. I've used trees, rocks, fence posts, Bench, off hand but never prone.

This sounds like the perfect opportunity to try it out. All you have to do is lay down and try it to start down the path of becoming proficient at it.

I used to ONLY shoot offhand, but that first challenge really showed me how long ago that was!
I got lucky on the first gun but the second was probably more indicative of the reality.

I'd almost like to have 3 shot groups just to weed out the "luck".
