.2-.3 100 yard cold bore challenge

Sunday afternoon, a balmy 41* in SW colorado with a w/sw wind. Just checking a coyote load for my remington sps tactical .223 with a heavy 20" barrel and 1/9 twist barrel which now has a hs precision stock off a rem LTR and a triggertech trigger. Cold bore shot is left bullet hole, then 3 together and not sure what happened to the 5th.

Lapua brass
BM powder
53gr v-max
cci 400 primer

Thought I would post this for my 12 year old. He loves shooting the .22LR and the .223, but is not very interested in larger rifles. Last year I put together a 22 Creed for the boys to transition to the larger bore guns. These are his first 3 shots with this rifle and the gun was cold. He doesn't like shooting groups so he hit the top 3. I thought it looked pretty good, so I cut them out and transferred to 1 target.

I forgot about this thread.

I wanted to verify dope to 600 yards with my APR built 30 nosler pushing 230 bergers.

I shot this 5 round group allowing 5 minutes cooling between shots. If memory serves, i measured each shot distance from center and came up with a .4moa 5 shot average.

First shot was cold bore at 600 then dialed to zero and back to 500, zero and back 400, 300 and 200.

I'll go out next week and give it a try. Here's a 10 shot group last month at 380 yards with a 6.5 creedmoor using Peterson brass and matchking 140eldm projectiles. Using bipod and a homemade rear sandbag. There's a 150 yard range a few miles from me that we'll go do this 100 yard cold bore challenge. Always fun.
