6.5 BEANMORE

THAT'S AWESOME.
That's what I like about this site, a lot of Great People. MERRY CHRISTMAS. 🎅
Yeah man, you got that right. There are some clowns, and haters, but the core of people here, are all on the same page. When the 7stw site began, it was seemingly like any other thread, that grew and grew. It got so big, Len Backus had to give us our own space, which evolved into several subtitles. Long story short, we all got to know each other, help each other, and some lasting friendships outside the forum exists today.
You hit it right on the head if what this is really about.

I have been meaning to get here since this morning. For those of you who don't know, a couple of years ago we were trying to think of a way to prank Bean. Wouldn't it be funny to send him a Creedmoor? He hates those. He we have one that we paid all of $200 for, we'll send it to him. The original thread is still out there. Something like I've been bamboozled. I'll find the link later so guys that didn't see it can get up to speed. That joke that turned into a huge long thread running for a year plus, riding Butterbean like a rented mule was priceless! That is the reason that his avatar has a man bun. Guys started calling it the Beanmoor, so that got us to thinking. Why don't we design a cartridge and call it the BeanMore. Spelled intentionally that way because it is More and Bean needed it! So the joke took on legs as the few people that we told about it all thought it was great. And nobody let it slip! We decided that we should come up with a cartridge design that anyone with a Creedmoor could simply run the reamer in for a new chamber in the BeanMore. That way they could let go of the skinny jeans and man buns and no longer need more from their Creedmoor. As we designed it we got 6.5 into the dimensions anywhere we could. Like a 36.5* shoulder. No point in a standard barrel length, they have a 23.5" barrel. We wanted to do a 6.5" twist but decided to run with a 7" twist. The parent case is the 308 win, so brass could be sourced from any of that family and fire formed. Although when Bruce Bertram was told about the story, he was all in. He hates the Creed too! We got a small run of head stamped brass giving us about 20k on hand. Still needs to be fire formed into the actual BeanMore but designed for a slight crush fit on virgin brass so no fire forming issues that often come with wildcats. If this actually get legs future head stamped brass is not a problem. Initial loading of the BeanMore shows about 150-200 fps more than the Creed for same bullets. Kinda lands it between the Creedmoor and the 6.5 PRC. So much More than a Creedmoor!

Here are the rifle specs. Mac Brothers Evo II short action, Krieger 1-7" twist finished at 23.5". Threaded 1/2x28 with a thread cap. Ready for suppressor or brake. Barrel and thread cap are nitrided. Glass bedded into a Peak 44 Blacktooth in black carbon with Hawkins M5 Hunter DBM bottom metal. Then set to life with a Trigger Tech adjustable down to 1.5 lbs.

Anyone interested in getting a BeanMore rifle, they are $3200 plus shipping and transfer. I still need to figure out price for the dies and brass.

For those that are interested in re-chambering a Needmoor into a BeanMore, price starts at $170 plus shipping for a naked rifle. Some rifles could be more if there is issues getting the barrel off the action.

So the moral of the story is No longer should anyone feel the need for more from their Creedmoor when all they have to do is get a BeanMore. Because it IS MORE.
What a great honor. And no one better to receive it for what it was intended for. Kudos to all involved, and to you, Steve. Happy new year. Gotta get some 110 HH
264 from you soon. Thank you.

That is one that I have always wanted. 7 STW. Every since they started printing articles on it back many many years ago. I have shot a 7 RM since the early 80's.
Maybe some day.

I can tell you, that it absolutely curl your hair with what it can do. The recoil isn't much more, but the results are. I could talk about it for days and never tell the whole story of my own evolution with this 7stw. If, I were to build another, I would build it on a 8 twist.
Mine performed great with 9 twist, but the 8 twist really does better.
When you get a chance, read some of the scripts from the Brotherhood of the 7stw in this forum. There, you will find some guys really into it, and you'll be in the market. It was / is a great ride.

The 7STW forum convinced me to purchase one, and it's through that forum that I met Bean. I had some questions and he was the first to reach out and help me. Our friendship started there, and we've become good friends.

Same thing here Doug. Bean and I talk all the time, and he helps me with a few things, of late, my .264wm. I have the 110HH bullets, he told me to try h4350. Wow, pinwheel out of the box. It's been a lasting friendship, and you as well. The 7stw forum started it all for me. You are certainly part of the core as was mentioned. We all learn from each other, and friendships are formed.
All the best to you Doug.

I'd like to meet up with a bunch of the guys on this site (you included). I think a group get together would be a hoot. I was fortunate enough to have lunch with Steve and Brian (Hammer Bullets) when they came through town on their way to a hunt last year. That's when I learned about the Beanmore and who was all behind making it happen. The waiting for the "unveiling" of the Beanmore was painful, so I'm glad it finally happened, and couldn't have happened to a better person.

Wow, that would truly be a hoot. I think Bean told me you were into .264wm, or 6.5-284. I can't remember which. I have both, and the latest one, has really got my attention, the .264wm. I have a 6.5'284 that is a hoot to shoot. Literally. That would be a event of a lifetime. For a bunch of of us to get together and catch up, have a meal, and do what we do best. I'm game! We'll talk and make that happen.
Also, I built a 22br from scratch. It is a fly killer. Three rounds to sight it. The next three in a hole! Nearly every time since then too. We'll talk more. Too much fun.
Thanks for being you!
