6.5 BEANMORE

OK, can see it now. Vortex comes out with Beanmoor Special Edition, Kestrel, as well. The roll out for badged products is gonna spawn a whole new industry!

Congrats Bean, looking forward to the range reports!
No need for that kind of profanity this time of the evening 😉

First things first, I come to y'all this morning humbled and at a loss for words over a package I received last night.
Everyone here knows my dislike of the Needmoor and most know that Hammer Bullets and a few silent partners sent me a Needmoor as a joke just so they could say I own one and throw a bunch of sand at me over it ( and no I haven't shot it as I refuse to yield) so that brings us to today.
The package contained a rifle ( yep that's right they sent me another rifle and I'm still not on the payroll) but this one is no joke and it's beautiful but here's where I'm humbled, the chambering.
6.5 BeanMore, I'll let the "Pot Stir Mob" tell the rest of the story and give details as it's a goodun
I am truly blessed and I thank The Lord Above for the family I have gained over a bullet that I had no intention of using.
@RockyMtnMT @fordy @Riceman @GLTaylor @HARPERC @dougduey Mr. Holtmeyer and everyone else involved, I love Y'all but with that being said I'm still shaking my head a the lengths y'all have gone to get me to shoot a 6.5 but you got it done and I tip my hat to all of you.
Merry Christmas to everyone
Bean

Stocking stuffer?

I have been meaning to get here since this morning. For those of you who don't know, a couple of years ago we were trying to think of a way to prank Bean. Wouldn't it be funny to send him a Creedmoor? He hates those. He we have one that we paid all of $200 for, we'll send it to him. The original thread is still out there. Something like I've been bamboozled. I'll find the link later so guys that didn't see it can get up to speed. That joke that turned into a huge long thread running for a year plus, riding Butterbean like a rented mule was priceless! That is the reason that his avatar has a man bun. Guys started calling it the Beanmoor, so that got us to thinking. Why don't we design a cartridge and call it the BeanMore. Spelled intentionally that way because it is More and Bean needed it! So the joke took on legs as the few people that we told about it all thought it was great. And nobody let it slip! We decided that we should come up with a cartridge design that anyone with a Creedmoor could simply run the reamer in for a new chamber in the BeanMore. That way they could let go of the skinny jeans and man buns and no longer need more from their Creedmoor. As we designed it we got 6.5 into the dimensions anywhere we could. Like a 36.5* shoulder. No point in a standard barrel length, they have a 23.5" barrel. We wanted to do a 6.5" twist but decided to run with a 7" twist. The parent case is the 308 win, so brass could be sourced from any of that family and fire formed. Although when Bruce Bertram was told about the story, he was all in. He hates the Creed too! We got a small run of head stamped brass giving us about 20k on hand. Still needs to be fire formed into the actual BeanMore but designed for a slight crush fit on virgin brass so no fire forming issues that often come with wildcats. If this actually get legs future head stamped brass is not a problem. Initial loading of the BeanMore shows about 150-200 fps more than the Creed for same bullets. Kinda lands it between the Creedmoor and the 6.5 PRC. So much More than a Creedmoor!

Here are the rifle specs. Mac Brothers Evo II short action, Krieger 1-7" twist finished at 23.5". Threaded 1/2x28 with a thread cap. Ready for suppressor or brake. Barrel and thread cap are nitrided. Glass bedded into a Peak 44 Blacktooth in black carbon with Hawkins M5 Hunter DBM bottom metal. Then set to life with a Trigger Tech adjustable down to 1.5 lbs.

Anyone interested in getting a BeanMore rifle, they are $3200 plus shipping and transfer. I still need to figure out price for the dies and brass.

For those that are interested in re-chambering a Needmoor into a BeanMore, price starts at $170 plus shipping for a naked rifle. Some rifles could be more if there is issues getting the barrel off the action.

So the moral of the story is No longer should anyone feel the need for more from their Creedmoor when all they have to do is get a BeanMore. Because it IS MORE.

Here is the link to the original thread from our 1st Creedmoor prank.
