My 1992 Yamaha Vmax. This is a older pict. I have changed a few things since then. This is without the RC downdraft racing carbs w/ velocity stacks. I actually have the carbs off now. Just got them back from being rebuilt. I need to get them back on & hit the road this summer. I had this bike down to the frame. When I first bought it back in 2003. Hard to believe I have had this thing for 20 years. lol

No longer limited, they're cutting inlets for Top & Bottom Release. Long and short action. (Long action must utilize the AICS pattern magazines) older flat back vintage models are not being cut at this time.
Adjustable cheek and standard altitude series are good to go with the modern day savages.

All my savage Actions are old models with top bolt release. Is the altitude the only style stock they offer ?

Yessir altitude is the only option at this time.
Do your top release models have blind mag? If not, give John at pure a call, he may be able to work you into something.

Yep currently they do. I'd prefer a DBM.
Armadillo's offer quite a bit more than a Slight squish.

Do you know if they will do LA with a bling mag? All I saw on the site was factory DBM or the Accurate Mag versions. Not a fan of DBM/mags.

Not at this time, however - if enough of you savage shooters plant the seed in John Hakes' ear (owner of pure precision) it may give them enough bait to start cutting them

The donor rifle (270 Win), was some close out special. So got a new 111 cheaper than a used at the time.
Barrel is a 24" sporter (used for $100) E.R. Shaw that was standard 257 Roberts.
Reamer & headspace gauges were on XMAS special from PT&G.
EGW 20 MOA rail & their Keystone rings.
Burris full field "long range" (MOA reticle) 4-12X42.
Been shooting PPU 7X57 Mauser brass sized to 257Roberts then fireformed to AI.
120gr Partitions over RL19.
Playing now with 115gr Ballistic Tips & Berger VLDs over Vihtavouri N555.
Any short action Savage/aftermarket DBMs with WSM mags out there?

Has 3 and 7 rounds for WSM.
Honestly, 25 creed is fantastic. It's a true easy button. You get the benefits of the speed close to 6 creed, with the bc of 6.5. And every one I have had has been a shooter. Peterson brass and bergers with RL26 or H4350 and you're good to go

If your looking at building a .257 and have no brass nor want a magnum cartridge, I'd agree the 25 CM IS the easy button. I'd have gone that route had I not had a ton 6.5-284 brass.
