Looks like there are at least 3 or 4 8mm fans out there!!!!!
It's a good thing Hornady created the 6.5 Creedmoor to make the 8mm Mag obsolete for really big game.

I had to pay extra for the extra effort for the reamer maker to do the pretty shoulder.

You all forget the 8x68S. It is like al 8mm hampered because of high bc bullets.
But this Himalayan Blue sheep was taken with this cal, Blaser R93, nosler ballistic tip 180 , 72gr of N550 at 262 meters, 300yrds approx.
Please give me 250gr high bc in 8mm and I will let you forget the 338Lapua.
And I do shoot that caliber too!

Interesting question. I love trying things. Lord willing on the next wildcat I will do a Weatherby shape for a hundred or so shots and then change it to about a 30* shoulder with as little barrel length loss as possible.

Be a great experiment! Same barrel rules out the rifle-to-rifle variations.
