Never been kicked off , but only have been on two and this is the only forum I have time for now. On LRH I have seen several fellows have disagreements, duke it out, in some cases get pretty hot and then get along fine in another thread. Folks can have a discussion and agree to disagree here without getting banned.
Anyone ever get banned from a forum?

Long time ago when email first came out, our corp legal department had a mandatory training session on etiquette and professionalism or simply class expectation.
Pretty simple advice:
1 - don't say something you don't want your mother to see.
2 - don't say something that is not ok for a headline in local paper or 60 Minutes
3 - don't say something you are not willing to say face to face
4 - don't say something and expect no consequences
5 - speak with data
The keyboard Trolls that have become normal are just perfect examples of lack of responsibility and accountability in our society. I am still surprised when I disagree with someone on a subject matter and the response is nothing but vitriol attack on my mother, family and character. When I ask to meet to discuss in person, holy cow! No, no, no! You cannot threaten me with face to face discussion! These are socially defective people (loosely applied as people) and they cannot carry a normal conversation in person.
So the Ignore is my best friend so I don't get banned.

I have never been kicked off a forum, but I don't participate in much online. I have had several posts deleted when I get too political. (Sorry Len). Most stuff I just read and take it with a grain of salt. I do post here frequently, and here is why;
I have learned so much here I feel the need to give back when I think I can help.
I enjoy talking to many folks here.
I value the opinions of many of you and consider you friends.

If I am wrong, I admit it, but if someone disagrees and puts nothing forward as to WHY they disagree and then babbles on about a different aspect of said discussion which is meaningless to the discussion, I take offence.

Yep. I'm wrong alot. I have no issue admitting that fact. I also have opinions and they don't change often. I stand by them and true facts. Most I find think there opinions are facts. There not. That's probably the biggest human error in discussion.
I'm the exact same way, But then when you provide the fact's most of them turn in to children

Sleep on it and delete are my friend.
I have pretty much followed Muddyboots commandments above and had no problems being banned from forums. Momma raised me right. I have seen a spirited discussion turn into a ban I thought was maybe premature but did not know any previous history or warnings.
Facebook is totally another story. My FB rap sheet is a mile long. I have FB jail tats. I am totally inept at suffering the slings and arrows of the idiocracy.

I get banned from FB all the time, been banned from a few offroad forums over the years mostly due to people talking out their @sses about stuff and calling them out. I like to think I have matured some but dang it another 30 day FB ban yesterday. Oh well life goes on. There is so much good information and knowledge on this forum I dont post a whole lot because I would rather read and learn. Dont fret a ban its really not a big deal...
