- Yes, we have isolated the virus, and performed the genetic sequencing
- Lots of vaccines use portions of the virus (much safer than using a weakened or attenuated virus) to stimulate the immune response. If we used the weakened virus, people would get the disease, and a more than a few would die, many more than using a portion of the virus.
- If you look at contact tracing data, which I bet most of you haven't, you will likely see that what happens in most cases is asymptomatic folks who have not yet shown symptoms (and may not ever) expose someone vulnerable. May be older, diabetic, but also could be someone whose body just mounts an inflammatory response. 49 year old healthy friend of mine had it 4 months ago and is still on 24 hour oxygen. Personally know three folks who have lost parents this way. If you think this is something they get over in a day or two, it's not. And I'm talking about looking at the ACTUAL data, not what CNN, Fox, etc. says the data is.
- Masks aren't meant to block individual viruses, but respiratory droplets. Do they work? I think we can safely say, better than those on the right think, and not nearly as well as those on the left think. In one hospital with which I am very familiar, with experienced mask wearers and good masks, many were infected. But, the viral load in the air was much higher, one would guess, given all the sick folks coming in.
- It's really, really hard to separate the politics from the reality for the layperson who can't read the studies. Fauxi was clearly a leftist in disguise (and not a very good one) all along, as is very clear now.
- The PCR is, indeed, flawed. What puzzles me is that they haven't reduced the number of cycles to be considered positive now that Biden is in. If they were smart (and make no mistake, the CDC, as with most Big Gov, is highly left-leaning), they would fix it, and say, wow, only a month in and look how numbers have dropped under Biden.
- If you're young, and healthy, or just ready to go, fine and dandy. Just maybe self-quarantine/social distance/wear masks around those who maybe aren't yet "ready to go". Just sayin'.
I will not be getting 'the vaccine'...

Maybe you're right and we don't have enough on this specific vaccine. But we do have a lot of information on how mRNA and DNA work. And we have been working with mRNA vaccines since 1989. This isn't a new design, it's an updated model.

As above, I started in google. If mainstream media is suppressing information regarding the negative effects of the vaccine (as it was presented to me) then google (which I was told was leftist) shouldn't have any information. Instead I got results at numerous sites from numerous sources discussing the observed negatives. I'm sure Bing or any other search engine would yield similar information.
There's lots out there on the negatives, but with the number of doses given the negatives aren't overly likely or surprising.
Actually it was tested on animals (monkeys), as any 3 second Duck Duck Go search will show (stop using Google!). Or maybe it was lawyers, if you recall the joke.

AnotherCasual, I feel that I have given you the respect you deserve for your opinions so far. What I'm about to say means no disrespect either but may come across that way. You've made a few statements that are rubbing me wrong. Please hear me out. I'm not trying to change your mind but am trying to maybe explain why/how some of us feel the way we do. First, to say I'm not patriotic for my point of view is way off. Second, your comment about how my/our pursuit of happiness affecting others is exactly how the government can take away ANY right God and or Constitutional given right including the 2nd. A couple months back on one of the history channels there was a docu series on the nazi war machine. One episode completely devoted to the propaganda machine under the leadership Goering. It explained in detail how from the very begining how they were able to brainwash the public into thier way of thinking. I actually have family members that were there then and still now. Even in the youth corp, not because they wanted to but because they were made to. Some made it some didn't. They give you various breadcrumbs at first. Then over time they turn up the volume and frequency. Then they flood you with it till that's all you get. The similarities to what has happened here for the last few years is spooky. If anyone watches that show, stops and gives it some honest thought and looks around they might see it, they might not. I'm not trying to say our government is all bad and not trying to compare one to the other either. What I guess I'm trying to say is that this method is used by media as thier "spin", ALL internet feeds such as google giving you pop ups for things they have recorded you previously searching and or interested in, and just about every ad agency in the world to sway you into thier products you didn't even know needed. Unfortunately we live in a world that you have to look out for yourself because most of the rest of it is just out to take some sort of advantage of you and will the second they get the chance to. Believe it or not, that's your freedom and choice. Some of us chose to look at stuff certain ways because we have to because our life lessons have made us to. Does it make us less trusting in things that someone else tells us it's ok because they said so, absolutely, does it make us less patriotic, absolutely not. Like I've said before, this whole deal is bad, real bad, and I do feel for all those affected by this tragedy. I'm not against the vaccine if someone needs or wants it. BUT I will make my own decisions when ALL the FACTS are laid out that I need to make said decision. If this makes me look like a boogy man theorist or whatever then whatever. It's the way I see it and calling the spade that I see. If I offended anyone with my comments I apologize. If anyone thinks less of me for saying what I did it's ok. My wife will still complain about my snoring tomorrow morning lol.
So lets what if, What if the CDC and every other information source your using comes out this evening and says a scientific breakthrough has been uncovered, scientist have now discovered that an common substance used in all gun powders has been found to carry the Covid, Gun powder in any form ( Raw or Fired) and any weapons and or equipment that has had any contact with Gun Powder should be taken to the nearest National Guard Facility for quarantine until a cure can be found, all shooting sports and hunting seasons will suspended until further notice...................................................Far Fetched You Say ???????????????? You did exactly what they said to do and your defending it, Are you loading your stuff up and headed to the National Guard to do your part to protect everyone ??????

The virus isn't caused by gun powder, and if they got on the news and said it was I'd be calling my legislators with you. If they come out and say gunpowder causes cancer, then it's me that's exposed to it and not anyone else. Right now the best thing I can do to protect you and everyone else are the things I've already said. Wash your hands, wear a mask, stay home, don't go to parties, keep your distance from others. Things we have understood for centuries are now in question because of distrust and media outlets willing to feed your darkest fears with sensational headlines to generate clicks.

I agree with you on propaganda, but it comes from all sides. The outlets telling you that you can't trust any news other than theirs have motives as well. They look to feed your deepest fears to get what they want from you.
I disagree with you that your pursuit of happiness impacting mine is used to restrict rights. In my mind government exists (or should exist) to protect the individual. Part of that is making sure someone else's freedoms don't overide yours. You're free to do many things, but you're not free to do anything. If you murder me, you've infringed upon my freedom to do what I want, etc.
I'm in favor of legalizing many many things. What you do in your own home is none of my business, but if it leaves your home and impacts me, now I have a say. If you don't want to be vaccinated, thats not my problem, but if you go out and spread the virus to me, now it's my problem. The same part of me that would ask you not drive drunk so you don't impact others would ask you to wear a mask and please don't spit on me.

I do not know if you are talking about me, but you easily could be because I have said that the facts about any of these covid statistics are being manipulated. And I still say: You are being lied to. Everyone is being lied to. There may be some true facts thrown in the mix to carry you in a certain direction, but no one is giving you all the facts in an unbiased fashion, period. Since you seem to be dominating this discussion, I feel that riding your coat tails and informing everyone reading your comments that all of what you are being spoon-fed is Elephant manure.
