Wyoming elk unit 9?

No sorry ,it's been lots of year since I even hunted in Wyoming,
I think we were in the wind river range.
Anyway I hope you end up laying on a side hill resting you rifle over some sage brush ,shooting a great big cow elk !

It looks to have two tracks all over the place so if you are hoping to get away from people you will have a hard time. If it is anything like the units I have hunted in Wyoming, most of the elk hunters will disappear on October 31 because that's when the any elk portion of the general season ends and most people are only hunting for a bull. Another option would be to go earlier than October 15 which I did in 2020 and greatly regretted. It was so stinking hot that early that the elk were still in their spring range and rarely came out of the dark timber during daylight hours. Unit 9 may be very different, but I am guessing they are very highly pressured due to the extensive road access and I would personally try a later season hunt when there is less pressure and weather in your favor.
