Seriously, if it existed and it was stalking me with an intent to kill me, yes I would shoot it. I guess I would figure out if it was intending to kill me when we have the stare down. If it walked away and didn't bother me, I would let it go it's way. If it charged, it would die. I really have no reason to kill it if it is harmless.

That would be a tough call, but I think that unless it was going to harm me, I would have to just enjoy the fact that I actually saw one-no different than a grizzly!

Within a half mile in both directions of my #1 shooting spot there has been at least 2 reported contacts with BF. The same fella had two of the experiences a couple of years apart.
I'll tell you what! That sucker is totally convinced he experienced what he said he experienced.
I'm a follower of the BF stories. My son when on a BF expedition several years ago with "The" noted authorities on the topic. Most had had personal experiences. Son's roll was to make a video of "the making of the movie."
They were provided a cabin in the Wallawa(?) WA area. Team leader was a John Burns type.
That night they various stories shared caused any one that had to "go" during the night, "Went" out the window. These were grown men.
If one shows where I shot I'll shoot it with the camera/spotting scope.
If it were a female I think creating a "missing link" would be fun. However, I hear they smell pretty rank. Would have to work around that some kinda way.
