Has any of you folks use 7mm amax on pronghorn ?
If so how, how did it performed ?

I strong recommend not using a target bullet on game. I personally, would never use an AMax on game, but that's just me.
I recommend the Berger VLD's if you're looking for solid performance.
I have tried vlds on rib cage shot pencil hole in-out. Not impressed, this was a big boar.
were they VLDT or VLDH
Funny, I had the same shot this past year at 225 yards with my 7mmRM and a 168 VLD moving @ 3,115 MV.... And it left a pencil in, and 3" bore-hole coming out..... If you don't ever hit anything solid, it's never gonna expand...No matter what bullet you're shooting.I have tried vlds on rib cage shot pencil hole in-out. Not impressed, this was a big boar.

I say give them another try.
I shot one in the shoulder and she fell over dead in her tracks. It was a pin-hole in & out, and it hit nothing solid, but it popped the heart, so the bullet never expanded and saved all the meat.Yeah I just might, I hate messing up shoulder meat
The 162 amax sure wrecked this speedie's day...
I'm a fan of killing things with amax's
