What rifles you guys running for varmint hunting?

I wish I had high volume shooting! Where I've been shooting in eastern Utah a hundred round day was a big day. Hit a few from 300 in, but most of the shooting was 400 and out. Last three trips I couldn't find a single dog. Between the plague in one area and extreme drought the past year or two I think it's been too much for them.
Man that really sucks, sage rat hunting is one of my favorite things to do in April and May

Really classy wood on that bottom pair.
WildRose,
Thanks, I had Weatherby select the stocks together, I bought them both at the same time, I really wanted them to come as close as they could to matching. The 6XC (top) was originally a .22-250 Rem before I re-barreled it. Boy... I sure wish Weatherby would make those miniature Mark V actions again and put them in something like a .308 or 6mm/6.5 Creed... they are super light carry rifles, well-balanced right in that Goldilocks range of weight and performance. Cheers.

Have seen, been involved in discussion, arguments over the 20P vs 204 Ruger. Everyone has their angle on it, depends on platform as well.
I know what the 204 is capable of with published loads, I also know how far I can push it beyond with no brass issues.
Buddy built a 20 P with a 30" barrel. It equals and passes the 204 with his load of CFE223 and 40 Vmax.

I am fortunate that I have a good stash of brass and ammo for the 204 Ruger from some years back, buy in bulk and save.

I am waiting on a 20BR, got bored, saw how many 32-34 grain bullets I had, 20 Vartarg in the works.

The 20 is interesting to work with. I wish Berger throw some discontinued stuff back out, or Sierra step up their offerings.

I currently shoot 22 creedmoor with the 88 ELDM 20" barrel suppressed at 3376 fps. It's my favorite gun and favorite cartridge. Have several 223s in bolts and AR's and still love to shoot them! 20 BR will be my next project. But I would tell anyone to shoot 22 creedmoor! Brass is easy to get now with alpha and Peterson making good stuff. It's easy to tune in my experiences, this is my second 22 CM, and won't be my last
Just ordered my barrel, brass, dies, I'm going to run 80.5 bergers. Can't wait to try it out.

Putting my .22 Creedmore barrel on hold, just started a 300 Norma Improved build. Borden Bigfoot action, Krieger #19 heavy varmint 30" barrel, Manners EH1. Throated to shoot 245 grain Bergers. If it's finished in time it'll be used to try get a marmot at a mile. Ok so it'll be used as a long range elk rifle too, but my big game rifles shoot far more varmints than elk.

I'm looking a building a 22 creedmoor.
I'm currently running a 6.5 creedmoor for long shots. Yes Ik everyone and there best friends dog has em but mine pushing a 142 Sierra around 2700 is crazy accurate too a half mile on yotes. If im calling I got a Remmy 700 in a 220 swift pushing 52 SMKs at about 3800 and within a quarter mile it's lights out at whatever it's aiming at.

I have the most fun with a 264wm, but no longer able too shoot p-dogs. Land was sold and none left where I could shoot any.

Varmint rifles? Its usually the one in my hand at the time, sometimes its even the plan.
