What rifles are you planning to use in the 23/24 deer seaon?

Being I hunt on the Farm in Southern Michigan and limited to 1.8" maximum and 35 caliber.....450 Bushmaster is the best option loaded with Cutting Edge Bullets 160 gr. Raptors....
Out of a dozen bucks only one wasn't .....DRT and it only took a couple steps.....

I am having a rifle built with a Carbon Six 22" Sendero barrel and a Mack Bros EVO II Rem 700 action in 7mm-08. Got a bunch of 140 Accubonds and a couple of lbs of Big Game. I think you just gave me a starting point. What is your COAL?

Also got a Timney trigger as well. Dropping it in a KRG Bravo stock. Scope is an Arken EPL-4 6-24X50.

I'm going to be bringing my .257 weatherby vanguard stainless synthetic. Haven't hunted with this rig yet. Testing the 75 grain hammer hunter at 4150 feet per second. Have it all dialed in out to 500 yards. It's hold on hair flat to that distance.

I may also get a fall black bear tag. For that I'd probably grab the .300 win mag savage 111, got an accurate load for that with federal 180 grain trophy bonded tips at about 3000 fps.
Loaning my buddy my .257 for Co next month. 90gr absolute at 4180. His first deer hunt so I thought the idea of holding center mass out to 400 is the best way to send him.

Either my Tikka 7 PRC with a Preferred Barrel Blanks Hybrid barrel shooting 175gr eldx or my Winchester model 70 Classic in 270 WSM shooting 150gr ABLRs.

Right?? My 26" barrel #1 is pushing them 3611fps......

.
my 24 inch vanguard runs 100 ballistic tips at 3720 with 7828 but it is a redline hot load. But that's the "node" it likes. Brass life isn't so long there, I have a a 100 grain Barnes tsx load doing right around 3500 that certainly sees better case life and is probably more "acceptable" regarding not exceeding SAAMI spec pressure (though I'm convinced some of weatherbys factory ammo exceeds it)

75 hammers at 4150 in hunting season weather, 4200 in summer and a bit hot then (rl17).

Gonna see one of these days if she likes the 115 Berger's I've got laying around here somewhere too.
