What rifles are you planning to use in the 23/24 deer seaon?

I enjoy seeing different set ups used for deer. I'll start with my 1885 high wall 6mm creedmoor using a 88 hammer hunter for field sits. And for drives and foul weather I'll be using my m77 Hawkeye 25-06 running a 90 absolute hammer.

I'm hoping to get load development completed on my new Browning X Bolt in 270 WSM in time to use it. I want to see how a 122gr Hammer HHT does at 3500+.

The Ruger #1 in 25-06 with 90gr Hammers is a known quantity and will either be backup or primary rifle depending upon the XBolt.

I'm also working on getting my lightweight Savage in 6.5 CM switched over from W748 to StaBall Match powder for better temp sensitivity. Gonna see of that Match powder can run the 85gr Hammers at 3400+ like the W748 does.

.

Howdy, earlier this year I asked you all if you know of a gunsmith in my area, that would rebarrel Weatherbys. A member here referred Harry Suarez, he was less than a hour away in Pa. Fantastic.
We will be using the 2 I had rebarreled.
Mark V 240 shooting 110--Tips. Settled on 3150fps. Daughters gun.
Mark V 30-378 shooting 230 Hy.Otm. settled on 3100fps. Wife's gun.🤣
Rem.700 Sendero 7RUM shooting 143 H.H. settled on 3450fps. My toy.
Good Luck to Everyone. 🤓

It will be the same old rifle, with a new bullet/load developed this summer. 270 grain LRX's @ 3000+ mv!

Two groups fired, two different loads, two days apart…..It should be "minute of Whitetail" out to my self-imposed range limit!

Though, it will be Whitetails only……our Mule deer took a hard hit this past winter! memtb
