So the tripod I use for my spotting scope is flimsy and shakes when rifle is fired. The BOG Deathgrip tripod looks to be a decent buy. However, would a Manfretto tripod work just as well? I find the Manfrettos on facebook marketplace at very reasonable prices. What are your thoughts?

I don't mind packing extra weight in my pack for truly useful gear. I use a Manfrotto 3001 Pro tripod with a Manfrotto 410 geared head. The combination is 10+lbs IIRC, but it is incredibly sturdy, super adjustable for angle and height and the geared head has coarse and fine adjustment on 3 axis.
