Savage Impulse Barrel Extension

Not that I know of... and that is odd. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason for this is patent protection.

They don't seem to have any problem making barrel extensions for the AR-15s ans such. Straight pull bolts have been popular in Europe for decades.

Stoner's Armalite (later Colt) AR-10 and then later the AR-15/M16 was nearly 70 years ago- so safe to say that any patents related to the barrel extension would have expired long before MSR's became popular for home assembly.

Even subtle differences in design can be enough to be patent protected, so you can't just lump together all straight-pulls or turn-bolts.
