Remington sendero ?

I just bought this rifle from a guy, he said it is a sendero but the barrel isn't marked sendero, it is chambered in 300 rum. Anyone ever seen one that wasn't marked sendero on the barrel. It has the stainless fluted barrel.

serial number to remington and they can tell you .

But they can't tell him if its been re barreled but it sure looks like a sendero

looks like a Sendero ...should have the J-lock..
the ultra mags weren't marked Sendero if im not mistakin...

I brought my sendero new, they dont have sendero written on them.

it does have the j lock, I hope it doesn't get locked, cause I don't have a key.

The J lock is extremely easy to replace with a new firing pin assembly. Actually, that's exactly the first thing I would do with your new rifle. Has it had any trigger work?

It seems to have had some trigger work, it feels around 2#'s or so.

i didnt have a key for my first j-lock
and of course, curious mind had to play with it and it went "click'
i just ground a small flat screw driver to make it skinny and then grinded a small angle on the blade part to push the spring in and turn ,,,was kinda easy actually there is no need for a J looking thing.

I called Remington and it is a 02 sendero.
