The size of the room is less important than the amount of shelf space you have. My room in AZ is off my trophy room; too small - 6x12. Not sure what my room is in CO but it is much bigger. My CO place has a walk in vault that is almost as big as my reloading room and that has a ton of storage space.

The other thing I have learned is that you need a SOLID bench - don't try to get away with a portable table. Needs to be firmly attached to the floor.

I don't have two presses set up in any of my rooms; switching dies is not a big deal. What you do want is enough room to attach case trimmers, priming tools, your AMP, and your A&D scale (along with enough electrical outlets).

Sounds like a great setup. Biggest thing I wish I'd done was add more storage and a lot more outlets than I thought I'd need. Good lighting over the press makes a big difference too. I'd also leave some wall space for pegboard or tool storage so everything's within reach.

I was just informed that my wife would like me to build my new room in our detached 3 car garage instead of in the 20x70 livestock barn as I was planning. It's a bit closer to the house. I think I'm gonna use 2 bays for my room and the 3rd bay will house my SxS and zero turn lawnmower along with tools and accessories for both. My room will be approx 24'w x 26'd. I decided awhile ago that my new bench will be 12' x 6' with 2 sets of 1' deep shelves running down the center 2' which will give me 2' of open space on each side. Essentially 2 12' x 3' benches attached back to back. The rest of the plan is up in the air still other than there will be another room inside with a shooting bench inside allowing me to shoot indoors towards the hills at the back of my property. Hoping to get started on it in a week or two.

Yes it a closet converted into a small reload station. The cat is my helper, it works well for me.

I was in mine today and snapped a few of my mess after seeing this while I let my hand rest from trimming 300ACC brass.

the T7 is on the side of the primer cabinet out of sight.

the brown tabletop is from a 4'X8' work table with the annealler, table top drill press. belt sander and generally where I trim brass. Way over in the corner are a MEC 12ga and a Dillon 550. There are cat litter buckets everywhere I turn with brass along with the 20s under the 8# powder jugs.

I think I need help getting it straightened out.

it drives me crazy too...makes me want to quit my job . seems like i have 10 irons in the fire and can't complete anything.

i was just wishing mine looked close to the others I was seeing...and it did once.

47 years is long enough…if I quit my job I'd have 6 1/2 more days to work on these projects more than I do now.

At least I could sort, clean and put up brass 2-3 days more a week and in my spare time I could even load and shoot it.
