Rangefinder carry

I did try the Badlands and it has similar features that i liked. It was like a deluxe version of the features I desired. Plus it had a built in rain fly. Streamlined yes, but it sat farther out on my chest and was a little longer with the lower pocket. Great if you needed it but I was looking for something as small as I could get. I looked at every bino pack I could find and it came down to these two. The feature that made my decision to go with the Marsupial over the Badlands was how snug the flap was held in the open position. I do a lot of spot and stalk with the pack in the open position. Important for me as a bowhunter not to have the wind or something more loose catch my string. Otherwise a tossup for me.

So, a rangefinder is necessary for long range hunting.....I carried mine in a nice Horn Hunter pouch...then I lost the strap. The new one is just different.

So, I'm lost. How do you carry your rangefinder in the field? Looking for a solution/gift idea.
I do have a G7 rangefinder I carry in my tactical speed bag. It's a back pack with 1 shoulder strap. I keep everything in it. Med kit, Bino's, Ammo, GPS, Topo map, shooting sticks// rear bags, compass, and sniper log incase my rangefinders fails.

Badlands are ok

, but they are loud because the magnet. From my experience stay away from anything that has magnets and Velcro in it when it comes to hunting equipment.

Maybe not the best but for me just a strap that goes with the rangefinder around my neck tucked under my bino straps. In some hunting situation s you don't have time to dig Eq out of a pouch

I thought the magnets might require careful closing but not so. The closure at least on the Marsupial is quieter and quicker than any others fasteners I tried and without having to be careful about it. Plus you don't have to ever look at what you are doing to fasten it.

I got ya. I do have a Vortex Bino case that goes around my neck. It has a bungee type strap on it that holds the lid down. It is big enough to hold my G7 rangefinder. It can't hold that and my bino's at same time though. I'll get the model number for you so you can look them up and see. BRB

Ok. Go to Vortex website. Then go to accessories. I have the Guide Binopack case. I thank I payed $90 for mine at Midway USA. If you put a set of bino's in the case I thank the small pouch in front will hold a Sig size rangefinder in it at same time. I put my bino's in it and some extra Ammo in the front pocket. There is a flat pocket on the back side you can't see that I put my topo map in. The straps are by far the most comfortable I've ever seen. The straps are I kinda like a backpack. It has a tether on it so when you put the case on you can draw it up and hold them close to you. I can run in them and they don't bounce even with my equipment inside.

I'd have to look in my hunting gear and see if I still have my Badlands. I took them hunting with me once. They were quite at Cabelas inside the store with all the people are talking. But once I got inside my hunting blind WoW. Big difference. It's about as loud as someone snapping their fingers when you close them. That's why I went to the Vortex case. If you are a rifle hunter only and 100 plus yards away the Badlands will work. But if you are like me and Hunt with rifle and bow the Badlands will not work at all. One of my bow stands I have set up is 52 yards away and the one time I used my Badlands case it startled the deer under my feeder when I closed the case. There is just no way to make it close quietly. At least I can't.

They are in front. It's kinda like a reverse backpack I guess. The traps are behind me. On my bino pack. But my speed bag the strap is in front like normal. I'll get a pic and post on here so everyone can see.
