With the berger bullets, which has the thicker jacket? the hunting bullets or the target bullets?? I looked on their site and could not find the answer anywhere??

I'm beginning to 'think' that their jacket thickness differences don't make 'much' difference. Just in the 'think' stage though.

Hi Roy! Do you know how many thou the thicker jackets are. I think the thin ones are probably .013".......Rich

No exact number values but a darn good read...Berger VLD Difference - Sniper's Hide Forums

Thanks Roy! I really enjoyed Brians response from Berger. One thing that REALLY caught my eye was the statement he made that the thicker jackets are usually thicker "at the base". If this is true and the meplat area is the same or similar thickness, The target bullets may actually work better for hunting than the "hunting" bullets? Not saying they will so I hope everyone doesn't use this statement the wrong way. I just think they might be worth some testing:D.....Rich
