Powder for 215 Berger in a Win 308

Appreciate the type and amount of powder to develop a load

I tried shooting the 230s with RL-17 in my 308. Started with 45 gr and worked up to 46 for vel of 2460 with 22" barrel.

I would say you could safely start at 45 and work up to perhaps 48-49 grs.

Wow, shooting 230's out of a 308. It seems under 600 yards this would be devastating. Any idea of the verlocity at 600? with a 230 griain bullet?

600 yd vel 1976 fps @ 4000 ft/ 59 degrees etc

For my 210 VLD load, I have had excellent luck with Varget.

in 208 a max 36g of imr4166 works out nice
