1.3.2 is the latest for v1, you can see all the releases back to 1.0.6 which was the relase firmware.

For v2, which it would appear you have, they are up to version 2.3 it looks like, click on the Labradar tab, it defaults to the LabRadar LX.

Mine shows 2.0.0 not 2.3

Appreciate the reminder. I have kept mine for now. For quick range trips find myself just using Magnetospeed, so mine has sat for a while. Now the battery is fully charged and firmware updated. I'm sure at some point in time I will buy one of the newer units like the Garmin, but for now with external trigger Magneto still serves a purpose.

Yes thats the one i did. Thanks
Something must have went wrong, I have upgraded my v1, and it's odd, you need to format the SD card with FAT32, so that it's bootable, then put the image on that partition and just let the unit boot. It will automatically detect the image and upgrade. That's how it needs to be done. If your v2 is still showing v 2.0.0, it must not have upgraded.

The newest is 2.0.0. I just got an email back from labradar. For the V1 or V2. The LX is like 1.3.2 or something like that.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The latest firmware version depends on which Labradar model you are using:

  • Labradar Original (V1): The latest firmware version is 2.0.0.
  • Labradar LX: The latest firmware version is 1.3.2.
You can check and download the latest firmware updates here: 🔗 https://mylabradar.com/download/
Be sure to select the correct tab for your model (Labradar or Labradar LX).

Let us know if you need further assistance!

Best regards,

I guess the good thing is you know how to upgrade it now! :)

And who would have thought the vendor would know the version it was supposed to have on it. I have mine sitting below, and have upgraded it a couple months ago. I have the v1. You got me curious though, so I just plugged a battery in and booted it, and it does have 2.0.0. I must have gotten the correct image on that SD card... 👍

EDIT: Question for you guys with the smaller unit. Does it require you use a battery with a mini-USB cable to power it? That seems it would be much better to have rechargeable batteries. Does the smaller unit have rechargeable batteries?
