Got some us869 powder has anyone tried it in larg magnums . Such as the ultra mags and the 30 378 Roy and 338 378

This and IMR8831 work BEST (best accuracy) in my 338 Edge.

I use it for my 26 nosler it is a little dirty. It cleans up pretty quick

Used it in a couple 30-338 lapua improved barrels with 190 and 210 bergers. It was great. Unmatched speed and outstanding accuracy.

Friend has had 3 30-378 s over last 14-15 years. I always loaded for him. With 165-180 gr bullets Retumbo was fantastic. Great velocity ( like Weatherby factory loads) and all 3 rifles shot 3/4 moa without a bunch of load development.

Heavier pills and then us869, R33, etc burn rates might keep pressures down.

It is act of Congress to find any retumbo or rl 22

You are right about that. Another very similar powder to Retumbo would be imr8133. It's supposedly near same burn rate and temp insensitive also.

Probably tough to find too but since it's not been around as long maybe a little easier.

Use it in my .338 Lapua with 270 gr bullets. Also use Hogdon 50 BMG, same loading data but 0.5 gr less. Good results with both powders.

Great powder for 6.5x300 Weatherby

Works fine in large magnums, that is what it was designed for. Only problem is it takes alot of it to push the 250 + projectiles 104 gr U.S.869 vs 89 of 7828 ssc or 91 of H1000. Good accuracy though.

The 7rum and 160's max is 103.5. That was from hodgdon. My best one as of now is 101.5 and 3250 measuring .48"

I tried to find powder today but no luck right now only IMR I have is 4831 7828
