Hammer Bullet choice

On a 22" 280 AI with 1:9 twist, what is the prevailing choice of bullet(s) in the hammer lineup for a guy looking to shoot an elk with Monos?

143's. It's the choice. Shoot them in a saum for out west hunting. 3,240' and it's the best shooting load I have to date

What kinda velocities are you looking for to ensure proper functionality down range? 1800-2000?

The 143 HH bullet with a muzzle velocity of 3,200 ft/sec will still have above 1,800 ft/sec (min rec velocity for expansion) at 700yds.

I just built a 23" barrel 280 AI. Plan on running the 140 AH. Guys with 22" barrels are getting 3300 + FPS with that bullet. I haven't shot my gun yet, but hoping they shoot good. I'm sure the 143 would be great too. It gets good reviews.
