Extractor on Remington Bolt

The extractor issue on remingtons seems to be more prevalent to the magnums.

Buy a PTG and sell the bolt is still the best and surest way.

Yep, and get the proper over size bolt to tighten things up, M-16 extractor, and fluted if you like. After you sell the old bolt it is a value for sure if you can get the part from PT&G.

I use to say, "whats the big deal with the rem extractor issues"? They always worked for me. Then I had 2 or 3 magnums fail in a year or two. I started installing the M-16 and never looked back. And I dont shoot timed comps and could be accused of running the bolt too slow. FWIW

If you install a M-16 extractor in a factory Remington you may want to make sure the extractor is not contacting the counterbore area in the barrel/chamber. Some say this can cause accuracy issues.
