So, I've always used a 115 Nosler BT in the .25-06 but I ran out and they've been hard to find. Love the accuracy of the 115 Berger but lousy blood trail with my son's buck last fall with those Berger's so they are relegated for use on groundhogs only now. I was looking in my stash and low and behold, I had bought 200 117 grain Sierras back in the Obummer administration during the Sandy Hook mess. Loaded up a quick ladder and made 'Em look sexy with some nickel plated brass I bought back in the day and this is the result with 53.0 grains of H4831. Should do the trick and I'll be looking forward to a better blood trail this year!

I used the same bullet and powder last year on antelope. I don't remember if I used 52 or 53 grains of H4831 and I'm far from home today. 299 yards and the buck was facing me in a stare. I put one right in the middle of it's chest and there was no trail to follow. It looked like his knees folded up and he went straight down, and never moved. Same reaction with a mule deer at about 325 to 350 yards.
