Crooked Spartan Precision gunsmith mount

My gunsmith recently finished my first ever custom build in 7prc, and while I'm absolutely overjoyed about 95% of it, there is one minor mistake he made that I'm unsure of how to handle.

When he installed the Spartan Precision magnetic Gunsmith Adapter, he put it in a few degrees away from allowing the bipod to be perfectly perpendicular from the rifle when the bipod is in the locked-in, as oppsoed to swivel, position. Any suggestions for how to handle this? Is it even a big deal? I'm worried about my ability to load the bipod evenly, and it doesn't seem like something I should have to compensate for after spending so much money.

Have you contacted him, and asked to have it trued?

Iv'e done several of my own with a Forstner bit and know exactly what you mean, it may work ok but it would drive me nuts if I didn't have it where it should be. I'm guessing it's going to be glued in there pretty solid. I'd call the smith and as @Small Lady said, if he takes pride in what he does, he'll fix it willingly.

Agreed. Sounds like an easy conversation. "The gun looks awesome. I'm super happy with it. One thing I noticed is that the adapter is slightly crooked so the legs don't square up to the gun properly. If I bring it by tomorrow can you square it up? I can't wait to get it out and stretch the legs on it…". Or some version…

When I have installed mine I drill completely through the stock with a 1/8" drill and then open it from the bottom to fit the adaptor, just in case i put one in crooked one day and would be able to press it out from inside the stock. still haven't had to. JB weld keeps teh m in there snug, even on my 45 cal smokeless Muzzleloader with a 275 gr bullet. Shooting form a tripod...

Yeah I'll be curious to see how he manages to get it out of the epoxied, drilled hole, and repositioned. Going to send him a picture tomorrow when I have the time.
