Caliber choice

Hey I know it's been beat to death but I'm up this time. I've got a long action 700 and it currently is a 6.5x284. I'm nearing a rebarrel and I was wondering what you guys would suggest for good barrel life. I'm going to brake it so recoil isn't an issue at all. I prefer lapua brass but it isn't really a requirement. I thought about a 30x284 because I like the case and I like 30s but before I jump I thought I'd hear everyone's idea. So lemme hear em I'm interested in everything

Hmmm.... had a 6.5x284, want something different.... long action, standard bolt face.....

Gotta go 280 Ackley.

Maybe that's me I'm thinking of, since I have a 6.5x284, and am building a 280 AI on another action right now.

280 ackley is bad to the bone I'll have to keep that one in mind. What can it do with the 180s?
