has anyone been building copper bullets? what kind of alloy would work best?

I can only find two types of copper nearby, electrolitic and beryllium, anyone has more info ?

I recently acquired a cnc bar fed lathe and have already the programs to build them bullets. the attempt is to build target(silhouette) bullets.

as for caliber, I´m working on some 308 win and a 6.5-284 rifles.

please help.

Sounds like a great project! Maybe try rebated boattails, not that you asked. But I would really like to try some of those in a 7mm.

actually I´m trying to copy an ogive and then add something like my "signature" to make them different, a rebated boatail could be it.

I´ll let you know about pressure issues in this copper alloys.

from what I know I wouldnt think berylium would be it but I could be wrong. I dont know anything about the other copper.
