7wsm

Sorry don't remember the powder used and I won't be around my reloading room for several days. But use 168 Berger in one of my 7mm wsm. The other one use 143 Hammer. Also have shot some 140 rem cor-lock and they shot extremely well. Never tried them but would think the 160 accubonds would stand a chance of shooting well. Good luck

I just picked up the Browning A Bolt 7WSM for a test run. Owner also provided 3 1/2 boxes of Winchester Nickel Plated Ammo. Not sure what the value of this rifle is. There are a few scratches on the stock, otherwise the gun is very clean. I will have to do some more research. I know the owner personally and he is very meticulous about his guns. It only has about 30 rounds shot thru it. I will clean the oil out of the barrel and bore scope it. After it cools down a bit, I will take it to the range.
I will check back in after I go to the range.
If you aren't sure about the value....I'd start with what you paid for it....just me!

Thanks for the reply. The owner is letting test it to see if I like it. He is an older friend of mine. I have not paid for it. We have not discussed the price yet. I am sure it will be fair. He is that kind of guy.

It wasn't clear that you hadn't bought it yet...sorry....the WSM's are awesome..
I have the x-bolt .270 wsm and IT'S A SHOOTER...so I'd venture a guess...6-700.00 ?

I have the same gun . I think it's a 1:8.5 twist iirc , you can contact browning web site with serial number and they will give you the twist rate . Love mine . 140s for deer 160s for elk . I have killed both with them . I have not reloaded for it because I bought a lot of factory loads last time I could . I do have some 90 grain hammers to try just for the fun and speed !

Thanks for the info. I was thinking in that price range also. Not sure yet about the scope.
Going to the range on Monday. That is my day to run the range, so I will have to squeeze some time between the clays events.
Thanks again for the feed back.

I have read all five pages of this article and the only thing that didn't see was
Sherman Wildcat 7mm MAX . The 7 Max is Sherman 7wsm, the Max has a longer
neck and a 40 degree shoulder the brass is ADG brass I sold my 7 max and went
to a 270 Mega Sherman Wildcat has some great brass.

Good luck with what you decide...the WSM'S are a lot of fun and overlooked by most.

Personally I'm a 270 guy, that being said, the 7WSM is highly underrated. It is an amazing cartridge, that if I had the chance to purchase a rifle in that I would definitely jump on it. I believe ADG makes brass for it occasionally.
