Looks like barrel technology is making huge advancements? Xring, Hornady and others are sharing the new Exponential Twist Rifling from PROOF. Looks like if successful I could change the industry? Check it out. Better barrel life, accuracy and more.

I looked online to see if I could find one for sale and no luck. If is as good as they say they maybe hard to get for a while. It will be interesting to see how other manufacturers respond

Gain twist rifling and longer, shallow angle throats have been around for over 150 years. This sounds like more of Proof and Hornady's exceptionally good marketing. Another 6.5 Creedmore redux.

I was just looking at the video on this. It makes sense what they're saying but I'm thinking longer barrels would benefit most though I could be wrong. Here's the link to the video I was watching from Proof barrels.

Proof literally bought ABS barrels and refined the manufacturing process (with a lot of dud barrels sold in the process). They don't come up with anything of their own.
They didn't come up with gain twist either, but like carbon they may have perfected it.

Remember when Bartlein stated 50% more barrel life from the MOD BB400 or whatever it is? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
I considered the mod 400 for my 22 creed but decided against it because if the barrel developed a ruff surface/fire cracking it could be detrimental to the already fast twist high velocity "RPM"s creating jacket/bullet failure. Even though the product might be great with a combination with less RPM jacket/bullet stress.

If anyone finds these new proof barrels somewhere for sale, post up and let me know. I will give them a try. AR 15 223 or 5.56 rile blank .224 .243 .264 or defiance prefits. Thanks

Sounds like it's normal gain twist but an extreme increase vs the more typical half an inch or so you seen in other cut rifled barrels? combined with a gradual transition into the he rifling.

Nothing radical but I liked my gain twist cut rock creeks

Iirc every barrel cut on a Pratt and Whitney has some gain in it
