does anyone have thoughts on what tey think is a great barrel length for this case

24 inches is the gold standard for a reason. It gives you near-optimal velocity for the cartridge's design. You'll be within 50-75 fps of what a 26" tube gives you, but in a significantly handier, stiffer, and lighter package. It's the perfect blend for a do-everything precision rifle, manageable for hunting or positional shooting, but still letting the cartridge sing on a PRS stage or at the 1,000+ yard line.

I had a 24 and 26 on a 7PRC, the 24 outran the 26, easily, but didn't do worth a flip on precision..both 8tw-5R. And my last from that manufacturer. It was the 2nd terrible barrel in a row, from them.
