7mm 160gr HPBT Sierra Gameking

160 Gr HPBT is pretty tough bullet and was designed I believe for a Magnum, it may not properly open at 7mm-08 velocities in hunting conditions. It will group well though in both 7mm RM and 7mm-08.

Tommolody, what's your cartridge,I'm a Sierra fan along with others , the above bullet is a great buy plus it's great hunting bullet, did you know sierras hpbt has a lower bc, but it's jacket is thicker,so it's a tougher bullet but meant for shorter ranges. Inquiring minds you know ,Cheers 😉

Thanks for the info, yeah with the low BC definitely not a long ramge bullet.

I've always likes the performance of the Matchkings on silhouette, they just shoot great and if these shoot this good they're worth a try.

Are they good for deer or elk, or both?

Thanks again
I don't know about the not long range thing. My longest (offhand-sitting) kill is right at 1/2 mile with a 140 Pro Hunter from a 7rum. The Sierra pills will reach out there really well considering. My current 7rum likes the 175 eld-x, but I'm still really fond of what the old remmy bdl could do with a Sierra.
