I'm kicking an idea around for a 7mm wildcat that truly splits the difference between a 7 RM and 30 Nosler, without a belt.
The obvious course of action is going with a 7-300 PRC but there's a few things I don't like about that option.
1. The capacity is getting up there at 96 grains.
2. I'm not a fan of the skinnier longer case length and 30 degree shoulder.
I really like what Nosler did with their case design, shorter/fatter and a 35 degree shoulder.
Also Peterson 33 Nosler brass has a capacity of 94.2 grains (according to their rep) so necking it down to 7mm would probably end up around 92 ish.
Has anyone played around with necking down the 33 Nos?
