Who shoots a 7-08? What's your loads? Havin trouble getting the wife's to shoot under an inch. Using h4350 with 150gr ballistic tips

Ruger American. I want a temp stable powder for her. I may have to try varget

have you moved seating depth around at all ? , I like H 4350 in the 7-08 nice full cases I have a criterion barreled one that shoots 168 bergers and 162 amaxes under .5 inch with H4350 and my wifes stevens 1in11.25 twist shoots the 140 gr interbonds with it very well also

I have heard that seating the bullet deeper into the case about three thousandths at a time for three shot groups can find a sweet spot

Chad, using Varget and 140 Berger VLD @ sub moa in my grandson's American.

Some say their 7-08s love 4350, but never could get it to the velocity wanted before the case was full.

Varget and the Hornady 139btsp is a .5" consistency in my rifle. H414/760 is also fairly good with 160 class, but I've only played with it and not really worked up a serious load as of yet.

I have had mine since I was about 12. It's an awesome deer caliber. I use Nosler brass, Varget powder, Fed 210M primers, and Berger 168's in it.

Remington 700 24' 1 in 9 twist
Nosler brass
RL15 40.5 gr
federal 210 match primers
150 LR accubonds
getting right @ 2690 FPS
BO 3.115

sub moa out to 600 yards gun)

My 7-08 load is 46.5gr IMR 4350 with 150SMK's. Same load for H4350. (On my rifle) Work your way up tho. Lapua brass, 24" barrel. Running 2840FPS.
