230 OTM and 230 Hybrid Target "JACKETS"

Guys found out today via Berger that the jackets on these 2 are the same thickness......so that means that they are the same as the 210 hunting VLD.

If the 230 OTM and the 230 Hybrid jackets are the same. What has that to do with a 210 VLD Hunting bullet. The 210 would have to be a different jacket because it's shorter. I was told that the Target and Hybrid bullets have a jacket that is thicker. The Hunting versions are the Original Berger bullet from when they only had a yellow box. Matt

It's true that the 230 Target Hybrid and the 230 OTM Hybrid both have the same thickness jacket, although they're different lengths.

However, the 210 VLD is made on a thinner jacket, which is also shorter than both of the 230's.

To generalize, the Target and Tactical lines all have thick jackets, while the Varmint and Hunting lines all have thin, or 'standard' jackets.

Thanks Bryan I saw a post of one of Bergers known sponsors that the 230 Hybrid target has the same jacket thickness as the 210 Hunting VLD, thanks again for the clarification!
