Husky or Stihl

Either one...they can both be good saws.

But lately I've been buying the clone saws for 1/4 the price and I am not disappointed at all.

Nice I'd try one of those. I've got a buddy in western Mt that competes in hot saw , he is a Sthil guy and has a alcohol saw 2.3 seconds in a 22 inch green larch says it's just practice fun

Both are great saws, depending on models. My Husky 272XP and Stihl 038 Magnums are 30+ years old now and still kick butt, running full skip 24 and 28 inch bars. I've slowed down to only cutting 6-8 cord per year, but I'll never part with these three saws. Parts are still readily available and their easy to rebuild.

Bought a 359 that had been worked over brand new....more fuel..more(extremely loud) exhaust.........but with a nice sharp chain that 12# saw with 24" bar makes fast work of trees....fun to run....
Still have the saws...no more trees....

I had a 359 also. Is was pretty doggy and I've heard when you open them up and get them breathing the rip.

Check and see if it's the 10mm 044. If so, buy it.

In 2011 I was working in a remote area and driving to one of my sites and I turned a corner and there was 2 Jerry cans on the road , didn't think much of it kept driving Went about another mile and I can see something on the road up ahead get a little closer and there's another Jerry can and a Husqvarna 372 XP sitting on the road.
I've had it ever since had to put a new top end in it last year.
I'm pretty sure somebody out there drove away with their tailgate down.

Just talked with him for 125$ and fresh tune up 36 inch bar couple new chains I'm picking it up later today

I'm not sure why but a husky has just always felt more balanced to me. Run a 288 for years. Cut cords of firewood to help our son through college. Have numerous other saws but to this day if I'm going to do any serious cutting I still pickup the old 288. Purchase it used from a professional timber faller 33 years ago (don't consider myself anything close to a professional). Have never done anything to the saw other than new bars, chains, plug once in a while and clean it up. Great saw.

I have an MS151 that I've modified a little. It's small enough to fit in a toolbox so I can toss it in the truck when headed out. That little thing is a beast once modded.

I thought Home Depot's husky brand was making chainsaws at first after initially reading the OP…

Stihl here. That said, I've been a fan of how far some of the battery platforms have come with their chainsaws. I have a dewalt 60v 18 inch. Seems to be on par with a stihl 250, minus the run time. Run time being the limiting factor.

I've cut a fair amount of Fireline with a 360s, 361s, 044s, 046s, 440s, 460s, 37XPWs. Loved falling big timber with the Husky 395.

I like Huskys better, but own a 046. I only cut firewood when camping nowadays.

Once had a Husky 372, now Stihl 441 and 028 are the in house saws. I think a nice MMWS 261 would replace them both and do all I need to anymore.
