Which Rifle do I keep

I would shoot both and use that to decide. How it fits. Recoil...Accuracy.
There are other things than power to be considered?
Which one can you make the most profit on?

Keep the .260... The GAP is a boutique cartridge that won't be around forever, like the .260 will.

I can't say those wouldn't figure into my thinking, but being inclined toward purpose built rifles, I would choose based more on how it fit a specific spot in the line up. The closer it duplicated something I already have, would weigh heavily.

There both 6.5? The one is faster then the other. To me a 6.5 and 7mm are to close already. So since thats not the problem here I like speed. And if He does the reloading thats not a problem. I would choose the one thats faster as long as it fit me good.

Why can you not keep both? In the future the one you get rid of you will wish you still had it just because. I also have to agree pick the one that shoots the best to that I hope it is the GAP.

Decisions, decisions....the last one I made came with some of these boys spending my money(lol)...and now they are saying to sell one getting you some money..........what better guys could you know....
Heck...Jmcmath even helped me to spend a bunch more money on a 1000 rounds of ammo......thx....

I don't have a gap...but do a 260(16" compact ruger) shoots good with 42gr powder...65284 shoots 53gr powder and 26 nosler shoots 75gr powder.....so the gap has to fall in there somewhere...
I like all three of the 65s....and they are making better bullets....
I have had a 7rm too....no longer have the 7rm.....

I'd go 260 to just for the fact that on a trip your much more likely to find 260 ammo then gap at least around me, I know you said you were going to reload for it but I've heard a few stories of ammo not showing up for a trip

I would go whichever is more accurate of the two.

The problem I see with choosing the most accurate is:
Custom action/custom barrel, both should be accurate enough that it takes time, material and effort to build good loads to find one might shoot .2moa and the other .4moa, but the .4moa guns load has an es half the other gun then ur back to square one.
assuming stocks are similar, I'd keep the defiance action. Barrels wear out. If one has a preferred trigger, swap them

If either one are consistently accurate with each other, then definitely I would keep the .260. ctw

I don't want to assume anything, custom built or not ... and then there's the load variable.

Good point, I'd make sure the 260 shoots before selling the other

Go for the Gap 4s.. Always good to have a little extra and the 140 is screaming fast out of the Gap. Boutique or not it has brass made for it now so reloading is not a big deal. I have always been of the opinion it is better to have a little too much gun than not enough.. JMHO.
