7mm STW Brotherhood - For those who shoot the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner

Gamehawker, thanks for the comment.
how did you make out on your early hunt? Hope all is well, and take care.
Twenty four days to go...... Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Well it did not happen. There were working on the property earlier in the month on coal mineral rights and the morning I was there they were finishing up working on the roads with bulldozers. My Dad and I were both very disappointed. He showed me where the deer usually come out and it was about 230 yards from the stand.

I'm hunting on one of our farms the first day of deer season on Nov. 19th and the usual shots will be less than 150 yards.

I've seen my Dad go that far with his 7stw with 140 sierras on deer pushed out with rl22. DRT at 600-800 with a spitzer flat base... I am gonna dare you to go farther 7stw <G>.:D:D:D:D:D

Is that a " TRIPLE DOG DARE" ?????
That's a little out of my league. Thinking about it, I am sure now, that it IS still lethal to that and beyond that, but how far, I truly don't know.:D::D:D:Dgun)

Hell, I've never even seem him go to prone laying out a critter with his rifle; he just drops to one knee and let's fly a pill. I do like telling him I told you so once in a while too. He wasn't going to get the rifle but I dogged him and put one on lay away myself.

I wish all the best to all the " Brothers " who may be dealing with the wrath of Hurricane " Sandy" right now. My area in Massachusetts is taking a pounding right now. The wind and rain is relentless, but I know that closer to land fall, it is obviously worse. This is a huge storm. Take care to all that are affected!!!!!!

Ditto!

Luckily we currently still have power here but I don't think for long.

Stay safe!

gamehawker and 7stw,

stay safe guys. We are having high winds and heavy rain here too, but not like MD is getting!!! I know Mass is getting it good too. Watching the news showing the all that water. Just wondering how some of my old friends are doing in CT.

The November Witches on Lake Erie are starting early. They are predicting 15 waves, which is high for there.

On another note, I was hoping to go shoot the twins this weekend, but my friend that has the range was busy with other things. Hopefully in two weeks he will be free for some shooting.

ya, and she is heading your way too!!!! Projected to be right over your head on Trick or Treat.

Be careful in upstate NY my friend.

Black' thanks for the feed back. Overall, we did pretty well. No power loss, here at least, but the Cape Cod area was flooded pretty bad. Connecticut had a lot of power loss, trees down.
( Ed, I was thinking about you up in Rochester last nite, as the map was showing you were in the crosshairs. )
I spoke with my cousin in Maryland today. He lives on the good ol' Eastern Shore. They got between 12 and 13 inches of rain. The fields look like lakes. I am going to take my boat so I can retrieve my deer in about 3 weeks. But, ironically, they did not loose power.
And it still isn't over yet!! It's over the north central states now raising hell. Take care to all, and thanks to those who cared.

My assistant near the lake is still out of power. Im southest of her by 10 mikes and it was mostly high wind. No power loss thankfully. God Bless.
