As for the "pie ball" deer, below. I killed him 12 Dec 1978 while still hunting on Spud Tharington's land near the curve on the Macon/Embro Road. I shot him at 25yds. Using a Ruger Moni-14 .223 rifle with a 55 gr. SP Winchester bullet. It was mounted by Woody Wilson of Louisburg, NC ($150)

What's meant by "pie ball"?

White or partially white face. I've heard is a 'pie bald'.

On a horse the white would cover most of the face and it may have blue/white eyes. Way more than just a strip or snip.

If you ever come out west the black cows with white faces are "black baldies. Just a little tid-bit for ya.:)

I'm familar with piebald...just not pie ball...I think this may be reffering to a spotting pattern....ahhh well ya know somewhere else below and to the rear of the head:D:D.

Seriously thanks for squaring me away guys.
