ATF sure taking their good sweet time!

What tickle me is I actually paid for my suppressor Dec7, 2021 and silencer center system crashed and the government never cashed my check till march 18, 2022 and I'm still waiting. Talk about a joke
SC probably did not send it in to them in a timely manner, have heard of SC taking weeks and months to sent it to the feds

Dang! It's hard to wait especially when it is your first suppressor. Silencer shop took over 30 days to submit to ATF. ATF confirmed receipt on June 1st. I've been putting off load development on a new rifle thinking that I would wait for the Ultra 7.

MIne was received by ATF on May 18, 2022. I called them today and they said oh yes we received it on May 18th but it has not be assigned to anyone yet. 184 days they have had it electronically. When I bought the can the dealer was boasting about 90 to 100 days maximum with electronic forms.

It crazy how the dealer can false advertise and still get business. I called the atf last Friday and the lady I spoke with said the wait time been moved to 180 days I said I been waiting longer than that she then said yeah I see that maybe you get something in the next few weeks.

The ATF is/are the ones false advertising. Incapable of meeting their own advertised deadline. Some would call that ineptitude, I'd call it standard operating procedure. Where is the accountability and oversight?

There is no performance standard metric these folks are evaluated on seems like.
GAO has a complaint hotline.

I'd imagine taking $200 from a taxpayer with a promise of 90 days for a tax stamp and not meeting that deadline (or anywhere close) would justify a complaint...and if they get enough calls, maybe an OIG investigation.

It was in writing from the ATF when e-forms was announced.
I must have missed that part. I remember a target processing time but not a promise.

I, too, was told (NOT a promise) that the average wait time was 90-days from ATF. Mine took 159 days (https://www.longrangehunting.com/threads/90-day-jail-time-starts-today.295649/page-13).
