Just received this from a wholesaler.
ATF FINGERPRINT CARDS
In our never ending quest to ensure our dealers are as up to date with relevant industry information as we are, we have received some useful feedback from NFA Branch.
Lately, there has been a large amount of Form 4's received with fingerprint cards that do not have the SSN of the end user on them. This is an automatic kick back in the system, as both the ATF and FBI require the social of the person submitting them. This results in a longer lead time for everyone, as these forms must get handled twice, instead of once. We're sure everyone is being quite diligent with their paperwork, but if you are letting customers submit their own paperwork, please be sure to tell them that unlike a 4473, the SSN is NOT optional on ATF Fingerprint Cards (For Form4 Transfers), it is a requirement.
