7 saum hammer bullets?

I've currently got a 26 inch proof Sendero with 1/8.44 twist. Re-barreling soon to a 1/8 (or faster if I can find one with a relatively short lead time). Running the 131 Hammer around 3500 fps, 180 Berger about 3050 fps, 195 Berger EOL at about 2950 fps. I think the 155 Hammer should reach 3200-3250 fairly easily in the 7Max. The 7 Saum would likely be about 100 fps less
Wow you got the 195's to 2,950? What powder? I was thinking of trying them in it.

How many grains. It's so coarse did you use a drop tube?
You're right about it being course. I think it averages 0.08 grains per kernel. I did use a short (maybe 4") drop tube. Just checked my notes, 69.0 g got me to 2954, 68.5 g was a tighter group and ran 2925. Again, I'd expect a 7 saum to be roughly 100 fps less. I liked H1000 better but it's been hard to find. The N570 burns really hot. For the 131 hammers I'm running H4831sc. Not sure what powder I'll run with the 155's yet.

I'd start with the 155 hammers in the 7 SAUM. I've loaded them in 2 different 28 noslers with 1-8 twist barrels with great results. 3350fps & 3390fps. Great accuracy and consistent velocities with N570.

The Hammers aren't particular about jump. Throat it however you like and shoot them. I would throat with about .200 - .250" throat. Gives you some room to seat out. Run a Saami reamer and you will be fine too.

Best thing is to make a dummy round that fits the mag and give it to your smith to throat to. I personally would run the 143g Hammer Hunter.

My 7 max started to show pressure at 3100 fps with the 154 absolute dead blow. H4350 and a 21" barrel.
Im going to start load development in my 7max with 244g hammer hunters and H4350, what do you think a safe starting point is? Brass is now formed. Thanks

i would start around 60 grains. i think a faster powder would be better for these weights. let me know how it goes

I used the 172 in my saum great 100yd accuracy 2925 fps. shot consistent 500,550,575, but 600 fell apart the 175 elite i was able to shoot consistent out to 700 farthest i can get right now and running them 2965
