Hammer Bullets

I think I'm going to experiment with some slower powders.
You will get max vel out of H4350 H4831 Rl19 burn rate at 100 percent case fill from the 2506 with the 90 gr absolute your leaving around 250 too 300 fps on the table with your present load work up too pressure and back off .5 too 1 gr be careful

Unfortunately I only have a tiny bit of Rl-19 left. I may have some IMR 4831 but other then that the only powders I have that are slower then Varget are BL-C(2) and then they skip to IMR 7828, IMR 7977, Ramshot Magnum, and H-1000.

I was hoping to see at least 3700fps with the 90gr Absolute but maybe I just don't have the right powders.

Look at the absolute hammer spread sheet on this forum it may help you out

Give IMR 4451 a try, I started at 52gr and worked up to 55gr in .3 increments. 55gr produced 3700 in my ruger 24" barrel with no pressure. 54.7 is where I settled at velocity of 3660fps.

I have 4166 and 7977 of the Enduron powder but unfortunately no 4451.
