I think the 6.5SB is gonna be too fast for the hunters. I shoot it on some of my absolute hunters. Shoot the 140's AH's and I think it would be fine with it. 6.5SB is not as stable as you think. I almost locked up a bolt on a 6mm Creedmoor that I developed in 50 degree temps and shot it in 80+ and wasn't good.

That's good intel. Never saw that kind of nonsense with h4831 in the 3 years I used it. I halfway thought about staball for the 140 AH. I think after the season I might try 15.5 or varget just for the sake of science but I doubt I'll see gains. Actually I'd do that after trying 155AH with the 16.

58.5 R23 with the 175 elite hunter, ADG brass, Fed 215M primer works for me. 2,780 out of a 22" barrel, it was under 100 rounds down the pipe and had not sped up yet.
Gonna bump it .5 at a time up to at least 60 to see what I get.

This thread has been great on timing - just got word my 7 SAUM is complete. I've been able to squirrel away components during the wait which has been nice. I have plenty of RL-23, RL-26, H4831sc, and H1000 to mess around with. I'll update when I get the chance!

My next build will be a 7 SAUM around the 143g Hammer Hunter bullet.

If you are shooting a 7 SAUM with a 21-22in barrel please share your velocity, powder and bullet weight.
Has anyone done a load work up with N560 rl-23 or imr 4955 with the 143s
I use RL-23 for a lot of different bullets/loads in my SAUM, but for the 143 HH specifically, using H-4350 gave me more speed and better consistency...3150fps in my 22" barrel.
Lol thanks for not answering my qs

Hey all,
New to the forum here, but been reading it forever.

I have build an 18" barrel 7 Saum, Sammi chamber.

Thought I would post my loads here as I get them so other could compare.

So far I have only used h4350 to develop.
162 gr ELDM
Coal 2.913
55.1 grains of H-4350
2720 fps and 1/2 MOA groups at 100 and 200 yards.

Should be able to put some at 3 and 400 yards in the next week.

Also have some other powders to try out to see if there are any gains.

Yes, terrible of me to offer some firsthand experience that was relevant to your question (I did develop with RL-23 that you asked about) and potentially helpful (offering an alternative to consider).
I apologize for coming off rude. Thanks for your recommendation on the H4350. I was able to pick up 8lbs, i will be giving it a go.
