New "to me" made in Montana monolithic bullets ...

Yep They work in a gas gun, what I find peculiar is all of the die hard cup and core folks getting all tore out of the frame about a bullet they haven't even tried
That's why I noted ...
It is an option for those that are open-minded, willing, and able to try.

So are you saying not willing to try a Beanmore, is a bias....🤣 The I am biased!!!! on some things
We all have different types of biases. It is OK to have a bias; you just need to identify/recognize it; i.e., I prefer .30 cal over .28 cal, Berger bullets over any other bullets, Scotch/Bourbon with no ice ... just some of my biases.

W.E. Demming is attributed to have said "In God we trust. All others must bring data". However, having spend 25 years in gathering and analyzing data, I know there can be bias in every step.

I also learned one other lesson. I don't have to perform an experiment my self in order to benefit from the outcome. I can learn from other's and it is a whole lot cheaper. Example in hand, this forum. I learn something everyday without performing any experiments.

What I am trying to say is we have choices. We can accept, question, perform our own, or ignore!

Great to have choices! Much better than the alternative!!!

Have a Great Sunday all...and if anyone needs company on a hunt...I am available....just can't carry too much, but can walk all day....

I like Hammers both Absolute and Hammer Hunters but am not closed minded and will try some of these new to me bullets.
The proof is in the pudding! If I can squeeze more velocity out of the 6.5 Grendel I will be impressed.
They are about 1 hour from my home so the wife and I may just go down there and visit them.
The weather here is not conducive to shooting right now as the weather is so bad it may be a while before I get to look at data to make a final decision but its so hard to get away from Hammers as Steve and Brian is always there ready to help in any way they can and Hammers are so easy to get shooting right that the data will have to be overwhelming to me.

You are correct in your statement The hammer boys and alot of you folks here did get me away from my tried and true Sierras well not completely

Agreed! Deming is also credited to Japan's economic rebuilding. Slow down, Brother; I want to enjoy my Saturday first.

I seen long range guy Eric Corrina make a cavity in base of bullet with his lathe on YouTube and shoot a 5/8 group with them at 1000yds, guess they are starting to be more mainstream, I would definitely like to try them. I got a Ruger LC9 that made crappy groups with everything thing I tried, found some Ranier bullets with a concave base I had and they shoot great, just seems to make sense that there's more surface area to push bullet and pushing mostly center of back of bullet.
That was Eric Cortinas April Fools video

I am just going to make one more comment! Just because something is new and often better, doesn't mean we have to ALL use it! For example, The only cartridge I have that was developed in the 21st century is the 300AAC! I bought it fir suppressed fun with the kids! All my rifles are in cartridges that were developed in the early part of the 20th century! They do everything I want to do, and they are more capable than I am!

You see? Even us engineer types makes mistakes! Kept thinking it's Sunday!🤣
I have learned plenty from all my mistakes throughout the years. Luckily, none of them resulted in any serious property damage or fatality. When I used to work in the Flightline, I always prayed that the planes I worked on come back safely with the aircrew.

I still know a few OLDER than me shooters that I cannot convince to try the Hammer bullets and when I told them about the absolute hammers they really thought I was crazy as hell I did take a 243 win shooting 69 absolute hammers to one of their ranges and they were impressed at the near 3800 fps and the accuracy but still will not try them kinda blows my mind but it is what it is
IDK how old they are. Or you are. ;~D In my 70's, still willing to try new stuff. Certainly some tried & true tools out there (Partitions for example) but if one isn't willing to try new how do they know whether or not it's better?

If it doesn't live up to the claims or simply doesn't do what one wants, go back to the tried and true. All that's invested is a few dollars and some time / energy - and ya still learned something.

I don't understand the mentality. Seems like carried to its logical conclusion. those shooters would be using blunderbusses cuz 'works' & anything newer is heresy. ;~0

Oh well, more for the rest of us.

I spend most of my time over on the hide and rokslide and a few other forums. Hammers don't get anywhere near the love LRH gives them at these other places, in fact often times it is quite the opposite. I tried them and they weren't what I was looking for. At the end of the day its awesome we have so many options to choose from and so many different places to hear gather information to make those decisions.
