3 elk year

This year I was lucky and drew a limited entry Utah elk tag on the random draw. I was able to shoot my best bull to date there at 707 yards. I also had my general wyoming tag and a extra cow tag. The Wyo bull was only 200 yards so nothing crazy and and cow was 500. Been a fun year! Also shot a muley, whitetail and bear but where this is the elk forum I won't post them haha.
Congrats, very few hunters score that big in a lifetime let alone all in one year.. My hat is off to you!!

Yes I'm with you on the shorts! I have a soft spot for them as well!!
I'm sorry guys, but I can't go with you on the shorts. The last time I put on a pair of shorts, my boney bright white legs caused a traffic accident a half-mile away when the glare hit the windshield. Everyone was laughing at my knock-kneed legs and then someone in the crowd asked if those were my legs, or was I riding around on a chicken. Same goes for taking my hat off to you. The glare would blind you and then you would be mad at me because you would have a hard time seeing three dead elk in one season.

And now you guys are picking on my big ol' fat tubby belly. Or are you talking about those wonderful short magnums? I can't tell because I have never shot a Little Tubby Magnum. Someone is gonna have to help me get with the program. Bring sunglasses!

It's a 300 WSM that's been completely worked over haha not sure how much detail you want but I'll put everything 😂.

300 WSM built off a blue print 700 action, Stocky Stocks thumbhole stock, Jewel trigger, Proof barrel, Huskemaw scope, accurate mag bottom metal so I could use bergers. I had a guy in Evanston Wyoming "Pucker Factor Precision" put the stock on, a carbon fiber bolt knob (cause it looked cool 😂) and he built the muzzle brake which I'm going to brag on because it's unbelievable the difference this brake is compared to the old brake I had was. This new brake I can watch impacts at 300 yards so if you're in the market check him out. Another thing I'm going to brag on and almost everyone that has seen it this year said they was buying one is the bipod I used. A friend of mine told me about it and best purchase I've made. It's called Hatch Outwest. By far the most versatile bipod I've ever used. I can go from 6" prone to kneeling without adding extensions or anything.

Load is 57.5 gr h4350 with a 210 gr Berger.
Would you mind sharing your twist rate and COL? Curious if I could use a similar load in my Tikka. Congrats on an amazing Manti Bull. Thinking seriously of burning my 18 points on the Manti this year.

If I remember right it's 1:10 twist. COL I use ogive gauges where bergers are so inconsistent on the tip. I can't remember that measurement off the top of my head but I can get it tomorrow. I only have it .005 off the lands.
