I agree. Len should take a look at this. I did not raise the subject of politics. When the subject was raised on my thread I responded. Some body said the Biden was a pedophile and I challenged anybody to state any facts that showed that. I said, no, that is slander. Nobody could state any facts, so I presume that I won that point.

Following that little controversy, some of the people writing have suggested that I should not be allowed on the site because I am from California and I am not a Republican. Len, if this is the case just be upfront and tell me and I will withdraw from this site. I wouldn't want my comments to upset people too much. I am a fifth generation California homesteader and shooter. If people like me don't belong here, Len, just tell me and I am gone, no hard feelings!

Just like you learned in school. The rich control the poor and leech off them. CA controls with archaic laws who runs for political office and who wins. Look at your representatives; Pelosi, newsome, schifty an weinstein. Are they poor? Are they getting poorer or richer? Is their influence in DC helping the rest of the country? My daighter lived a meager life like the rest of us but their move from CA to TN actually saved them 30K in income taxes for 2020 that is 30K that will come from others in CA. Seems like them moving was s favor to the rest of CA.

Thousands of people are homeless on the streets. This is true. But maybe the reason they choose Califiornia over South Dakota is the weather. If you are homeless in South Dakota even for one winter you might not make it.

I just poured a cup of coffee and went to my window to scan the country side for elk and realized that there weren't homeless people camped in front of my house this morning and nobody ever shoots up with heroin and comes up on my porch to take a cr@p and pass out.

If only I wasn't so cheap as to not spend $4000 a month for an 800sqft apartment in NYC or LA. But alas, I will never get to experience the traffic, filth, crime, and mental disorder found when millions of people are crammed in a few square miles all relying on the government for survival.

You are right. I like country living, too. I love the fresh air and I love a view across the mountains and the sagebrush. I have lived in northern Nevada. I love once in a while spotting a wolf stalking a wild colt. It is great. The one compensating thing about living in LA or San Diego or Silicon Valley or Berkeley or S.F. is that you get to meet gillions of fascinating, creative people. People who can really play music. Big, free minds crowded into a small space. People who are well read. People who can teach you something every time you talk to them. So it is a trade off. Peaceful living, or excitement. You really can't have both unless you are rich enough to have a King Air to jaunt off to your Idaho ranch every other weekend.

Sorry but I don't believe you ever "spotted a wolf stalking a wild colt". The "once in a while" part makes it also sound like more than once. just don't believe it. Lived around wolves since they were introduced in 1995 and what you're saying here is a pipe dream that many of the big city anti hunters and proponents of wolves spout that has no basis in reality.

Yes, spent more than 30 years living and hunting the southern Idaho / Northern Nevada more than 30- days a year although I did try to avoid Reno as it's basically a California suburb. Winnemucca and Battle Mountain much more my style.

Do you shoot the .338? That is what I shoot. I like the IMR 4064 powder, and H414. Also Hodgdon HV 100. I like the 225 grain bullet. What do you use?

Actually not, I would've guessed that an "educated" man like yourself would know the demographics of Utah have changed greatly over the last 50 years and not necessarily everyone who lives here is of that faith nor do most of the more than 30,000 Californians that move here each year convert.
Sure seems funny that someone who starts a whole new thread just to cry about people disagreeing with his point of view is eager the immediately start disparaging a prominent religion. Maybe you should review those rules you were so worried about earlier.
