Got my 264 win mag finished howa action 26" bartlein barrel been shooting 147eldm with n570 has a node at 3000 fps 5shot groups typically under an inch. Have not tried retumbo yet hard to find. Was wondering if anybody has been shooting this combo ?

Nice looking rig! I haven't worked on that specific combination yet. Will be easy on the brass, as there should be quite a bit of room to safely add powder, if you want to.
If you can find retumbo, my experience has been it either works in your rifle well or it doesn't work for $h1t. The good news is you won't have to burn much barrel life to figure it out. I'd start around 65g, load up in 1/2g increments 0.020" off the rifling. If you haven't found what you are looking for by close to 68g, you likely won't. With Retumbo and the 147g ELDM you should be able to reasonably get to 3,125 to 3,150 with a 26" barrel.

I have been working on a load for my .264 with Retumbo and 156, one word of caution with this combo it seems to go from safe to unsafe pretty quick.... like within 1/2 gr in my rifle.

I'm running the 142gr ABLR @ 3.56" .010" off.
Do you guys have a tip to top of boat tail measurement on the 156gr Berger?
Even a total tip to bottom of boat tail would help.
Sorry to hijack.😇

Cheers.

If you have a 1:7 or 1:7.5 twist be mindful of those 147s coming apart on you. There has been a lot bullet tumbling and exploding reported with the 147 and fast twists. I shot them in my 6.5 PRC at a little under 3000fps in a 1:8 and had no issues out to 200 yards.

I do have a 7.5 twist I haven't noticed any problems yet it's been to cold to shoot much I think I've got a box of a 100 and I can't find anymore I have seen people having problems with them I've been shooting the 180 eldm in a 28 nosler with a 1-9 twist with no problems at 3070 fps

Yeah, it is odd and I haven't seen complaints on the bigger cals but the ton of complaints from 6.5 PRC and SAUM users of the 147. I shot a bunch of 180 ELDMs in my 7mm LRM and didn't see a problem either.

I do like this gun so far I do have a 6.5 creed more,6.5-06 and a 6.5-284 and I'll probably end up with a 6.5 prc but so far I'm like shooting this the best. Seems they don't get much love but it's been a fun gun when weather changes I'm excited to go out and shoot long range and true the ballistics
