I love my etymotic GunSport Pro earplugs. Have been wearing them for hunting for several years now and absolutely love them. My reagular hearing aids suck for hunting because they hang behind the ear as soon as you start sweating they start howling like a bad microphone and are terrible with any wind. My gun sport pro's are all in the ear so don't have either of those issues and the audio from them is awesome.
I have bad hearing but with these I can hear as well or better than with my hearing aids. I wear them bird hunting as well as rifle hunting where I shoot a 300 WM with a brake.

Have used these for several years now also. Excellent. Like the way you can adjust the amplification.

Just had this conversation with a buddy back from a pheasant hunt. There was a axis rep there and he got to try them out for the hunt. He bought them on the spot. I think like 5-600 dollars but he said it was worth it, especially in the wind

OK I'm new around here so forgive me, but this topic interest me greatly. Just got back from a muzzleloader hunt - got all wrapped up in it an shot without protection on "snap" that hurts! Oh, and to make it worst the muzzleloader has a brake on it. It's been a week or so and my hearing is starting to come back to the new normal. I'm gonna see what everyone has to say around here and then get something!

At least you seem to have a sense of humor about it. Hope your hearing is back to normal soon. Shooting a braked rifle without hearing protection can be dangerous for you hearing. It's one reason some of us really poo poo brakes. I damaged my hearing with one shot from a braked 300 RUM.
Some of the new electronic ear bud types that provide normal/amplified sound until the shot really work great. the are not for shooting at the range under a roof (I always double up for that) but are great for shooting in open areas like hunting.

Follow up on the Axil GS Extreme ear buds I charged them before use and the sound was good, blue tooth worked good now here's the rub. They don't noise cancel, I looked for FAQ on the site then e-mailed and called several times for a few days. I went to the help chat and same results " just call CS". I would't suggest dropping any cash for these even when they brag about an awersome warranty so it's back to muffs till they speak up.

Interesting. I wore mine instead of my muffs for a few range visits. Worked as well as my muffs. I wonder if there is an issue with yours.
I used it while working with a high powered machine in my garage, and it worked perfectly. I still have not made it to the range yet.
